Alaska Marine Lines is looking for a dedicated, hardworking individual to join our team!  We currently have an opening for a Generator Mechanic.  

Our team works on average 45 hours a week which earns you $69K - $84K!



 
Your Role: Repair and maintain marine power packs and generator systems as they relate to marine transportation. We are looking for:


  • 2 year vocational/technical degree in Diesel Technology or related field & a minimum of 5 years’ experience with mechanical & electronic diesel engine service & repair in industrial and/or marine environments.

  • Previous 150 – 300kw power generation experience; Caterpillar, Cummins/Onan, and/or John Deere.

  • Good AC and DC electrical aptitude and the ability to read and understand electrical schematics and diagrams.

  • Previous experience with rigging/blocking/lofting of equipment for the removal/installation of major components.

Travel Pay – Added hourly wage and overtime while traveling
Paid Time off - 8 paid holidays, 17 days paid time off a year (PTO) and extended leave paid time
