Job Description:

Cape Fox Shared Services is seeking a Proposal Manager/Proposal Writer to join our growing team in Manassas, VA. The selected candidate for this role will be primarily responsible for managing and writing proposals in support of our business growth goals, strategic initiatives, and diverse service offerings. This position is a highly visible role that works closely with executive leadership, business development and capture personnel, and operations management. Duties are performed within a team environment and focus on the development and delivery of compelling and differentiated proposals to Federal Government customer requirements. The Proposal Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and conducting the development and tailoring of proposal content based on the outputs of the capture strategy development process.

Responsibilities include:

• Managing proposals, including all aspects of the proposal development, pre-proposal planning activities, kick-off meeting, theme development, value articulation, schedule management, proposal structure, compliance oversight, team instructions and guidance, review team coordination, and production oversight


• Developing/maintaining proposal management-related artifacts for each opportunity to include kick-off materials, master outline and compliance matrix, schedule, annotated outlines, writing instructions and templates, daily stand-up agenda, proposal team contact list, action items, and color team review briefings


• Leading, facilitating, and driving the discussion during solution strategy sessions with Presidents, capture manager, and subject matter experts


• Capturing and helping to document customer hot buttons, win themes, our approach/solution, and features and benefits at the level required for a compelling proposal response


• Interviewing technical subject matter experts for the development of proposal content and artifacts Leading and participating in collaborative sessions to refine win strategy, competitive assessments, and customer pain points or hot buttons


• Writing and editing proposal narrative based on input from applicable sources and geared toward Federal Government clients and help design graphic concepts


• Tailoring available content for customer focus and compliance with project requirements


• Developing and distributing proposal-related documentation, including compliance matrices, outlines, schedules, writing guidance, and kick-off presentations


• Coordinating with contracts management and pricing staff on cost and contractual volumes to ensure appropriate schedules and inputs


• Reviewing proposal content for compliance and cohesiveness


• Leading partner calls and developing and distributing related data calls
