Job Summary

The Manufacturing Engineer will plan, direct and coordinate manufacturing processes, support both machining and assembly change and planning activities and coordinate new project bidding.

Job Responsibilities

* Develops, evaluates and improves manufacturing methods, to include planning of sequence of operations and specifying procedures for machining of parts or fabrication of assemblies. Prepares a list of required materials, tools and equipment using knowledge of machining, assembly, metal forming, processing, and electrical wiring.

* Downloads electronic media from customer sites and supports change activity and configuration control

* Confers with programming staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient cost engineering production methods. Estimates production times and establishes labor standards

* Coordinates with MEs and other groups to gather data supporting development of new project bid packages

Job Qualifications

Required qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Engineering or Industrial Engineering

* Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations and/or program requirements.

Preferred qualifications:

* GKN experience

* Manufacturing Engineering experience, preferably in an aerospace environment

* Aerospace component planning experience

* Experience in the use of CATIA V5 or Enovia

* Experience with Configuration Management

* Experience with Blue Print reading

* Experience in aerospace machining or assembly

* Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel and Powerpoint)
