Job Summary

The Sales Training Manager will be responsible for supporting/collaborating with Sales Management in existing and expansion markets in pursuit of performance optimization via the development, delivery and oversight of Sales Training Programs. Areas of focus include standardizing new hire on-boarding (full time and temporary agents), performance improvement of existing sales agents, supporting growth initiatives and key programs, launch of new technology, expansion into new markets, and ensuring Sales Teams' understanding of regulatory requirements. The Sales Training Manager must have a full understanding of Senior Products Sales and Marketing strategies, competitive landscape, and product information. Other responsibilities include reviewing inbound calls, co-travel with Field Agents, and attending team meetings. This role will require the ability to build and deliver unique and impactful training programs for each our Sales Teams including Field Sales (HMO & D-SNP), Inside Sales and Business Development. An ability to work collaboratively with Sales Management in identifying training needs and developing solutions will be integral to success.

Job Description


  • Develop training curriculum and supporting documentation for Sales Teams including the evaluation of performance to ensure the incorporation of training content.

  • Ongoing support of key initiatives, programs and new technology implementation through the development and delivery of training curriculum. Routinely checking on performance to revise approach.

  • Operationalize on-boarding program for new hires and independent brokers. Prepare existing sales team, exchanges and brokers to sell via collaboration on the construct of the product CBT's to satisfy CMS requirements (annually).

  • Develop new approaches and techniques to improve training effectiveness; making support readily available; integrating support with routine job functions. Provide management team with oversight and reinforcement techniques.

  • Collaborate with Managers/Supervisors to identify individuals in need of additional coaching; conducting individual training sessions based on manager/supervisor feedback and performance gaps.

  • Lead and provide oversight for sales training in group, individual or train the trainer settings.

  • Develop training materials including handbooks, job aids, models, visual aids, Computer Based Training documentation, and standard operating procedures.

  • Ability to build, manage and lead a high performing team to support sales training design, development and delivery should future needs warrant additional staffing.

Requirements

EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree. Additional certification(s) in training preferred.

EXPERIENCE:


  • Healthcare industry experience required preferably within Health Insurance/Medicare.

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in positions of increasing responsibility in Sales Training and/or Sales Management.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the development, delivery and oversight of Sales Training curriculum desired.

  • Experience developing and managing technical education programs, course content, instructional design and learning management system tools preferred.

  • Experience in managing, mentoring and building teams preferred.

SKILL REQUIREMENTS:


  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Salesforce

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (including large groups)

  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, engagement and collaborative skills

  • Extensive knowledge of learning principles and modern training techniques

WORKING CONDITIONS AND ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:


  • Must be able to travel both in state and out of state, as needed. Reliable transportation and valid driver's license required. Some overnight travel may be required.

  • Early morning, evening or weekend hours may be required
