Corporate Underwriting Audit Operations Analyst at Chubb in Wilmington, Delaware

Job Description:

Seeking a well-organized, energetic, and proactive individual to join the Corporate Underwriting team. The Corporate Underwriting Audit Operations Analyst will report to the Corporate Underwriting Operations and Data Analytics AVP, while also supporting the Audit Team Leaders. The candidate will play a key role in overseeing the management and tracking of over 140 audits per year as well as assist with quarterly data analytics. The candidate will also interact with a diverse group of personnel from various Business Units within Chubb.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Manage MAC Audit schedule for Chubb North America to Ensure Timely Execution of Audits


  • Track NA MAC schedule weekly. Manage the timely distribution of audit reports, oversee the closure and follow-up of open audit recommendations, and conduct other activities related to the underwriting audit function. 

  • Manage and update NA MAC Audit schedules annually and quarterly for all BUs including maintaining a list of Needs Improvement/UNSAT audits requiring follow-up audits.

  • Track results for all business entities with respect to audits completed, response, report distribution, recommendation tracking, timeliness, and category scores.

  • Continually monitor schedules to identify changes in plans and variances to MAC standards.  Update audit spreadsheet to memorialize schedule changes and audit cancelations.

  • Maintain the content of the Department Village and Share Point sites, inclusive of how and where audits are filed.

 

Support the management of the Athenium Underwriting Audit Platform


  • Become proficient in using the Athenium audit platform and all its reporting capabilities.

  • Interface with IT supplier to identify and implement enhancements to Athenium system. 

  • Assist with user acceptance testing for programming changes.

  • Ensure optimal use of systems by providing and maintaining updates to training materials, universal audit questions, training new users, maintaining the Athenium village site with enhancements, such as frequently asked questions etc.

  • Add new users, do password resets for Management Interface users, addition of flow audits, etc.  Conduct all user training.

  • Prioritize programming refinements based upon need and cost.  Engage CU Team and BU liaisons for Systems improvement feedback.

 

Support CU and BU Audit Managers


  • Act as a resource to answer questions, troubleshoot problems for the audit leaders.

  • Refine and develop training materials for the all audit leaders.


  • Pull audit account lists in CUW, Tracker, WorkView, etc. as requested.

  • Maintain North America Business Unit and MAC Audit Distribution Lists to ensure recipients are correct; coordinate with Athenium to update the MAC lists in the system and the Distribution List in the Part 1 Audit Report template in Word.  Ensure the Outlook distribution list for CU communications includes all relevant Business Unit CUOs and BU/CU Audit Managers/Leaders.  Ensure all distribution list links in Part 1 Report are updated as needed.

  • Assist with formatting reports and creating response templates for audits at the request of the audit leaders

  • Assist CU managers with preparing quarterly MAC reports, when requested

  • Maintain proper controls over referrals including assigning the referral, creating folders in SharePoint to file initial referrals, and updating the Referral Log.

  • Assist with onboarding process for new employees

  • Assist with prep for large group meetings

  • Provide support to OPS manager for Self-Audit Tool Administration

 

 

Manage and Improve Underwriting Audit Productivity


  • Maintain/communicate all department procedural documents and post to Village/SharePoint sites, contact list, and other records relating to corporate underwriting procedures.

  • Support the underwriting audit process by assisting the OPS manager with data analytics

  • Compile monthly audit reports for distribution

  • Participate on special projects as needed
