Job Title: Jr. Data Analyst

Reports to: Miles Vinikow

Location:  Goleta or remote
 

The Role

We are looking for a passionate Junior Data Analyst with a technical foundation and a strong desire to learn. In this role, you will have the opportunity to influence key strategic decisions by sharing insights with leadership and business owners. As a member of the Enterprise Analytics team, you will belong to a cross-functional group who partners closely with business teams across Deckers.

Your Impact

Responsibilities 

• Collaborate with internal teams to understand reporting requirements and derive key metrics 

• Analyze data to unearth insights and develop data visualizations to facilitate decision making 


• Create data sources in Tableau to support reporting for internal teams 

We’d love to hear from people with

• BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Math, Physics, or a related field, or equivalent years of experience in a relevant field 


• Coding skills in Python with data analysis packages (e.g. Numpy, Pandas etc.) 

Skills/Competencies: 

• Experience with data visualization and dashboarding tools (preferably Tableau) 


• Experience working in a Linux environment 


• Working knowledge of Git & Github 


• Desire to be in a cross-functional team where open-minded and transparent sharing is a tool for breaking down challenging problems 


• Passion for tackling ambiguous problem and creating tangible outcomes  


• Insatiable curiosity and a growth mindset
