Supply Chain Logistics and Planning Specialist

What will you do?

Blueprint is looking for an experienced, self-motivated, and collaborative Logistics and Planning Specialist to support the growing needs of our portfolio and global operations. The incumbent will be responsible for coordinating domestic and international shipments across Blueprint clinical and commercial programs as assigned, including but not limited to those between CDMO sites, storage locations, and 3PL operators. Additionally, the individual will support activities related to inventory management and master data management. This position will be based in Cambridge, MA and will report to the Logistics Manager within the Supply Chain organization.

What will be your responsibilities?


  • Coordinate GMP product and material shipments across our global CDMO network, both clinical and commercial stage.

  • Support and maintain a centralized process for managing shipment requests, scheduling and tracking shipments through receipt confirmation, and evaluation of carriers/providers/3PL's as required.

  • Partner with Supply Planning, Quality, Commercial and Investigational colleagues to align date requests and plan shipments accordingly.

  • Work with other line functions and external partners to manage complex projects, negotiate and communicate supply plan timelines to internal and external customers and partners.

  • Maintain and ensure compliance to all SOP's. Develop new functional SOP's, as necessary, and provide training to staff.

  • For logistics related services provided by CMO's, monitor, and manage freight related expenses currently incurred on behalf of Blueprint, and help streamline invoice verification processes.

  • Identify permit, license, and other documentation requirements and ensure processes in place to enable efficient and compliant processing.

  • Track shipment issues (damage, temperature excursions, non-compliance, etc.) and work to resolve recurring problems with vendors through implementing preventative measures. Create a standard set of processes to centralize, monitor and manage all physical shipments within Blueprint's chain of custody.

  • Supports the EOM inventory reporting processes, collaborating with CMO's, CPO's, 3PL, Finance and Planning Managers to meet timelines and information accuracy.

  • Support the development, and maintenance of Blueprint's supply chain master data.

  • Support the planning communication process specifically with the Planning Meeting and the S&OP.

What qualifications do we require?


  • Bachelor's degree required

  • (2+) years of experience in Biotech/Pharma environment with practical experience in planning, cross-functional coordination, and project management.

  • Detail and process orientation required as well as highly collaborative working style.

What qualifications do we prefer?


  • Willingness to attend to develop expertise in logistics/freight management through APICS, IATA DG, or similar training programs.

  • Logistics or GMP operational experience a plus.
