Job Description Summary

The ideal candidate in this role will perform a wide range of duties in a shop environment.  This individual will be responsible for maintaining a fleet of class 7 and 8 trucks, backhoes, and specialty equipment. There will be a $500 sign on bonus after 60 days as well another $500 sign on bonus after 180 days.

Responsibilities

• 
  

  Coordinates the workflow and overseas work of the shop technicians on 2nds shift

  
  


• 
  

  Works directly with the 1st shift lead technician and Fleet maintenance manager to ensure equipment is work ready for the next day

  
  


• 
  

  Responsible for coordinating and ensuring preventative maintenance and services are completed on schedule

  
  


• 
  

  Responsible for ensuring all driver write ups are addressed and DOT and safety items are repaired prior to leaving the shop

  
  


• 
  

  Maintains accurate repair and service records of equipment during the shift

  
  


• 
  

  Assists shop technicians in all aspects of diagnostics and repairs

  
  


• 
  

  Assist in repairs of all equipment

  
  


• Other responsibilities may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license


• CDL A, preferred


• At least 3 years’ experience of fleet maintenance


• Diesel / heavy equipment mechanic experience 


• At least 1 year of experience in a maintenance shop leadership role


• Must have own tools


• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs periodically throughout the day
