Personal Banker at First PREMIER Bank in Sioux Falls, South Dakota

Job Description:

First PREMIER Bank is seeking a Personal Banker to assist Managers with sales, servicing activities, selling and originating personal loans and deposit accounts.

Compensation and Schedule

Starting wage is determined based on prior work experiences.

Full-time Hours:

Core hours; Monday - Friday 8:00 am-5:00 pm. Occasional Saturday Hours 9:00 am -1:00 pm

Training Schedule:

Paid on-the-job training!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide support to all areas of the Branch, including lobby assistance. 


• Open deposit accounts, renew Certificates of Deposit and originate Easy Access lines of credit.  


• Perform consumer loan processing tasks; obtain financial information for consumer loan applications, and gather other supporting financial information.


• Expand existing relationship through direct customer contact and outbound sales calls.


• Make outside sales calls to current and prospective customers to seek out new opportunities to provide additional Bank products and services.


• Handle customer inquiries for information and assist with resolving fraud, disputes etc.


• Prepare loan documents, board loans, process disbursements, ensure all regulatory concerns are addressed, prepare and send completed loan file to Loan Servicing.


• Maintain full understanding of bank products and their value/benefit to customers need.


• Establish a successful referral network to grow new customers.

Skills and Qualifications

• Must possess working knowledge of Retail Banking processes and procedures.  


• Basic computer skills and proficiency of the English language.


• Attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills. 


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with the ability to work as part of a team, are necessary.


• Combination of education/experience that would enable incumbent to meet essential functions and required competencies of the position. 


• Conduct tasks in a manner that complies with all consumer protection regulations and treats consumers fairly.
