JPMorgan Equipment Finance (EF) is part of JP Morgan Chase's Commercial Bank and focuses on meeting the equipment finance and leasing needs of mid-size companies and large corporations. The group finances a wide variety of equipment types, with transaction costs typically in excess of $1 million.

JPMorgan Equipment Finance provides guidance and effective solutions for financing any equipment required to operate a client's business. Equipment Leasing partners with various businesses within JPMorgan Chase to deliver an attentive and seamless client experience, covering 4 primary lines of business and over 3,000+ clients with a team of over 100 employees in 15 offices across the United States. Chase Equipment Finance is the 6 th largest Bank-Owned Leasing Company and 16 th largest leasing company in t he United States with over $5 billion in total assets.

The Position:

JPMorgan Equipment Finance - Territory Associate covers a territory consisting of 1-3 states and reports directly to the Product Manager. Working together with EF Territory Managers and Client/Relationship Managers from all areas of the firm, you assist in financing equipment to select clients/prospects in a tax effective, efficient and low- cost manner. You will work closely with assigned Territory Managers in order to effectively and efficiently meet new volume and revenue objectives as well as assist with complex transactions. The candidate must have a working knowledge of overall products within the firm allowing referral of clients/prospects to other product groups or lines of business when appropriate alternatives are identified.

Responsibilities include:


  • Support Territory Managers in identifying, structuring, pricing and closing equipment finance transactions for existing bank clients and prospects

  • Facilitate relationship with specified lines of business including relationship managers and un derwriters within assigned market coverage responsibilities

  • Assist Territory Managers in performing portfolio reviews with all assigned Client/Relationship Manager's in order to identify customers/prospects with \"high probability\" for product sales

  • Track opportunities through the pipeline stage through closing/booking

  • Must be able to work independently and some travel is required

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required

  • Leasing or equipment finance sales knowledge a plus

  • Experience with documentation negotiation

  • Good communication, negotiating and credit skills

  • Ability to excel within a team sales approach

  • Strong relationship building skills

  • Strong knowledge of equipment financing products as well as industry standards and regulations

  • Firm grasp of PV calculations, financial analysis and lease/finance pricing models
