Responsibilities

The Civil Estimator is accountable for managing estimates for the assigned market segment(s) in a manner consistent with the Company values, policies, and procedures.  This individual is responsible for the satisfaction of clients and the quality and competitiveness of assigned estimates. 

Individual responsibilities include integration of project safety requirements, cultivation of suppliers and subcontractor engagement, and development of winning strategies. This role is also responsible to attend and/or facilitate pre-tender meetings, strategy formulation, pricing review, subcontractor scope review workshops, as well as turn-over and buy-out meetings on awarded projects.

Qualifications

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree related to the construction industry, 3+ years’ experience and expertise in all aspects of estimating civil scopes, preferably from a self-perform background.  Experience on water/wastewater projects is a plus. This candidate will ideally have some on-the-job field experience.  

Candidates must have the skills and experience to develop winning strategies, perform conceptual and detailed estimates and assist in the development of staffing and schedule approaches.  The candidate must also have a firm understanding of a variety of delivery methods as well as associated preconstruction services.
