About the Role

Credit Products Underwriter IV's play a significant role at the bank. They work closely with the credit team and Relationship Managers to help grow bank assets. Credit Products Underwriters are master prioritizers who can manage multiple projects and loan requests simultaneously that vary in complexity.

How You'll Spend Your Time

• The majority of your time will be spent managing and developing a team of underwriters conducting the complex credit analysis to finance multiple business endeavors including; investment real estate, owner-occupied real estate, working capital, equipment, LBOs/acquisitions, healthcare-related opportunities, as well as credits augmented with an SBA guarantee.


• Your day will consist of credit conversations, decisioning loans within authority, managing workflow, and communication with Relationship Managers.


• You will work efficiently to decision loan request while mitigating risk.


• You will prepare very complex commitment reports for critical client accounts in the multi-state markets supported by the lending center.


• You will have client-facing responsibilities, providing consultation to deliver the best possible integrated solution to the client.


• You will interact with the Credit Risk Managers, Credit Concurrence Officers, and Line of Business Leadership to lead loan presentations and provide additional information to support conclusions.

COMMUNICATION: You express yourself clearly in conversations and written documentation. You are able to see both sides of a situation and possess the confidence to have difficult conversations.

CREDIT ACUMEN: You have a superior understanding of credit principles and all applicable SBA products. You will have an excellent understanding of alternative financing sources and products within BOKF such as Asset Based Lending and Junior debt to facilitate partnerships with internal departments.

DETAILED ORIENTED: You follow our established standards and have good judgment so you can escalate situations when appropriate. A passion for doing the job right, follow-up, follow-through, and accuracy are vital for this role.

DECISIVENESS: You will succinctly identify the drivers and/or potential threats to cash flow and structuring to mitigate risk and a demonstrated ability to exercise delegated credit authority within established bank tolerance.

DRIVE FOR RESULTS: You'll consistently maintain high levels of productivity and work with desire, effectiveness, and determination to meet and or exceed goals.

Education & Experience Requirements

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree and 15+ years of credit analysis/credit products underwriter and/or "business line" experience; or 20+ years of equivalent work-related experience.
