Meredith Corporation - the diversified media and marketing company behind more than 40 iconic brands including PEOPLE, Southern Living, Allrecipes, and more - is launching new subscription-based consumer products and services.
We are looking for a Subscription Analyst to analyze product data to generate valuable insights on the health/performance of our subscription-based products/services and to inform how we can acquire & retain more subscribers.
II. Essential Job Functions
Accountabilities, Actions and Expected Measurable Results
Become a subject matter expert on subscription KPIs and data sources, and monitor/report out on business performance across these key metrics (e.g., revenue, CAC, LTV, churn)
Leverage your deep understanding of D2C subscriptions to analyze the full funnel / health of the subscription businesses - identify issues, develop hypotheses, and make recommendations based on your findings
Turn quantitative insights into qualitative recommendations and distill data down to actionable opportunities through clear delivery and communication skills
Create and maintain financial modes, reports, and dashboards for running-the-business, as well as for Quarterly Business Reviews / other ad hoc reports & updates
Partner with Finance on monthly forecast models
Work with Product teams and third parties to ensure data integrity
Identify trends and actionable insights from a wide variety of data and reporting, maximizing their lifetime value and frequency of return.
Deliver insights around pricing, subscriber retention, and user engagement
III. Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements | All must be met to be considered.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Technology, Finance, Business or related fields
Experience:
Maniacally focused on understanding the KPIs of a business, understanding the data inside & out, what's good / what's good / when things move / why
An analytical wiz, highly comfortable executing complex analyses with large datasets,synthesizing data into insights, and communicating them to cross-functional stakeholders.
Comfortable with data analysis using Excel or Google Sheets, at minimum.
Prior experience with business intelligence tools / languages a plus
Experienced in e-commerce / digital direct-to-consumer sales; mobile app acquisition / app-specific analytics experience a plus
3+ years work experience in a highly analytical setting, with preference for D2C/subscription companies, business intelligence roles, management consulting or banking
