Aruba, the leader in Wireless LAN and the Intelligent Edge, has openings in the WLAN Software Development Team. We are looking for a Lead Cloud Application engineer for our Aruba Cloud Platform and SDBranch products. 

Responsibilities:

The candidate will be required to design and develop cloud applications, working with architects and team leads. In addition, the candidate is expected to create detail design and facilitate design reviews with the leads and architects. Finally, the candidate is expected to develop, unit test and integrate into the larger cloud-based WLAN solution.

Requirements

• BS or MS level in Computer Science or related fields.


• Expected industry experience is 2 to 5 years.


• Working knowledge of RDBMS (Postgres/MySql) and NoSQL (Cassandra/ElasticSearch/Kairos DB/Druid, etc.) 


• Familiarity with at least one flavor of Linux (preferably CentOS/RHEL) 


• Experience in designing cloud applications using distributed cache and experience using Redis, Hazelcast or similar products.


• Experience messaging systems like RabbitMQ and distributed streaming platforms like Kafka.


• Ability to work with QA and Remote Teams.


• Experience coding using Python, Golang, or Java

Experience in one or more of the following will be considered a plus

• Understanding of Networking Technologies, and networking protocols, L2, L3 and SDN concepts.


• Experience in creating modern cloud native solutions, in the area of system, device or network management.


• Familiarity of Cloud Platform - CoreOS, Kubernetes and Docker containers.
