Job Description and Responsibilities:

Primary duties in Supply Chain include: Receiving, Shipping and Inventory. Considered a "swing" person to fill in wherever the need is within the whole Supply Chain * Receiving to include but not limited to: Receiving small packages and limited LTL shipments. Place parts into correct inventory location. * Shipping to include but are not limited to: Creation of appropriate documents for shipments, i.e., data sheets, Certificates of Conformance, RoHS, and other customer requirements. Completion and filing of Shippers Export Declarations with U.S. Customs. Use of master shipping software (FedEx, UPS, DHL). Assures adequate level of shipping supplies and materials. * Fiber preparation duties include but are not limited to: Respooling of optical fiber from inventory spools to shipping spools per customer orders. Perform visual inspection of fiber coatings using a magnifier. Wrap spools for shipment, prepare test data sheets and labels, and update database. * Perform material replenishment tasks from inventory to manufacturing based on kanban requirements. Work closely with Purchasing to ensure orders are placed to maintain proper inventory levels. Perform inventory transactions. Requires ability to lift or move up to 35 pounds.

Education and Work Experience:

Experience with an ERP system required, Oracle preferred. Experience with at least one of the three major areas of responsibility required: Microsoft Outlook experience preferred. International shipping a plus. Excel experience a plus. Cross-functional experience a plus; i.e., working with shipping, receiving, inventory management, manufacturing, engineering and purchasing departments. Experience working in a lean manufacturing environment a plus. High school graduate, equivalent or equivalent experience. Certificate training and/or college experience a plus.
