The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services
Under general
supervision, performs two or more human resources sub-programs for assigned
Offices at the Ohio
Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS): composes, processes,
approves and enters
personnel actions (e.g., electronic Personnel Action Request (ePAR));
researches recruitment
methods and advertises vacancies; carries out established recruitment,
hiring and selection
process (e.g., screens applications to determine if minimum qualifications are
met; works with
supervisor to determine additional screening criteria when appropriate;
compiles
lists of applicants to
be tested and/or interviewed; provides supervisor with information and
guidance in hiring
process; onboards new employees and completes required paperwork for
selection packages; conducts background
checks).
Responds to inquiries
from employees and general public; assists higher-level Human Capital
Management (HCM) staff
or other administrative staff on special assignments and reports (e.g.,
entry of Ohio
Administrative Knowledge System (OAKS) information); prepares related records
and
reports; maintains
human resources records for employees; responds to correspondence from
employees.
Performs other related
duties (e.g., participates in meetings; utilizes personal computer to produce
correspondence, reports
and other documents; travels to attend meetings and training; maintains
logs, records and files).
Completion of undergraduate core program in human resources, business or public administration. -Or 2 yrs. exp. in human resources. -Or 1 yr. exp. as Human Capital Management Associate, 64611. -Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.
