Vice President, Global Technology Resourcing Strategy and Solutions at Prudential Ins Co of America in Newark, New Jersey

In support of Prudential’s transformation journey, Prudential’s Global Technology organization focused on optimizing its technology, operations, and cost footprint to ensure that the business is well-positioned for the future. The Workforce and Sourcing Solutions team is a key enabler of Global Technology’s integrated strategy, ensuring that the right resource, location, and sourcing solutions are deployed to create measurable results and exceptional business impact

A member of the Workforce and Sourcing Solution’s leadership team, the VP, Workforce Strategy & Solutions will be responsible for the development of strategies and processes to operationalize key pillars of Global Technology’s integrated strategy, one of Prudential’s nine strategic priorities. Specifically, as part of the centralization of Prudential’s technology organization globally, the leader will manage and integrate critical workstreams focused on workforce and location management to ensure that there is a consistent pool of technology talent delivered on a cost-effective basis from the right source and best locations. The focus of this role is to optimally manage the resource ecosystem for employees, GIGs and third parties and will partner closely with the Global Technology HR team where strategy and execution intersect for the employee workforce segment.

More specifically, this role will be responsible for the following:   


  • Develop and implement workforce and location strategies, tools and processes to optimize workforce planning and forecasting in partnership with GT and Human Resources

  • Develop work and workforce strategies in concert with Global Technology objectives

  • Define the blueprint that optimizes the resource deployment for the portfolio of work, functions and applications and the interrelationships between sources, whether employee, third party and gig

  • Partner closely with multiple cross-functional teams to understand capacity, headcount, build optimal long-term staffing plan, operations performance, volumes, arrival patterns, and drivers into the long-term forecast

  • Manage and track labor demand and capacity across Global Technology in partnership with key leaders across the Global Technology COO team

  • Manage both internal and external resource demand concurrently to provide the right talent at the right price point

  • Develop cost/benefit proposals for recommendations for sources/locations of non-employee talent

  • Maintain global resource/role inventory in order to assign and allocate resources

  • Continually assess IT delivery location portfolio for access to required talent, skills and time zone requirements, and cost, developing recommendations to redefine or adjust as appropriate (both employee and 3rd Party)

  • Continually monitor the efficacy of delivery locations in terms of access to future-ready skills, operational efficiencies and business continuity risk


  • Monitor resource utilization and contention; develop and maintain resource reporting and dashboards, monitor  

  • Working with the Risk team, assess risks associated with delivery locations and identify business continuity options

Required experience


  • Bachelor's Degree required

  • At least 10 years progressively responsible experience developing optimum resourcing, sourcing and location strategies for a global enterprise, preferably in technology organizations undergoing profound transformation

  • Track record developing location strategies that deliver continuous access to talent on a cost-effective basis

  • Deep experience working with outsource models

  • Command of evolving resourcing models such as interim, gig workers and crowdsourcing
