Mountain River Physical Therapy is looking for a Full-Time Front Desk Medical Receptionist in St. Clairsville, OH. This individual must be motivated and a team-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working directly with people. Our practice is passionate about patient care, and we are looking for someone who is detailed, organized & reliable with previous front office experience.  


A summary of job responsibilities includes:



  • Front desk scheduling

  • Greeting patients, and checking them in and out for appointments

  • Answering phones and email inquiries

  • Collecting co-pays and other fees required prior to office visits

  • Obtaining pre-authorizations for patient visits

  • Insurance re-verifications

  • Data entry, running reports, auditing and filing

  • Maintaining the front desk and reception areas

  • Patient and physician interaction on the phone, and in-person.

  • Managing, updating, and charting patient records in an Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system

  • Additional duties as assigned

Previous medical/dental front office, administrative, customer service, or front office experience is a definite must. History of working with insurance benefits, pre-authorization, and approval is preferred. If this sounds exciting to you, and you have previous front office experience, we would love to meet you!


Requirements:



  • Working knowledge of insurance benefits, deductibles, co-payments related to the delivery of medical care

  • Previous administrative or other professional office experience in a medical setting preferred

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and general office equipment

  • Good writing and communication skills

  • Ability to work under pressure and remain friendly and professional.

  • Ability and willingness to treat all patients with the utmost kindness and consideration in the most trying situations.

  • Friendly personality with the desire to work with the public.

  • Ability to prioritize and follow up on completion of tasks.

  • Ability to relate to the public regardless of ethnic, religious, and socioeconomic status.
