WM Tax Operations is currently looking to hire a qualified candidate to fill an open Vice President Project Manager role within the WM Tax Operations Project Team. The project manager will be responsible for working with stakeholders to define requirements and coordinating testing for regulatory and enhancement projects for our Core Accounting System (Omnitrust), in house applications, as well leveraging automation tools such as Alteryx and Signavio to automate manual processes. Additionally, the selected candidate will work on current state process analysis and management of projects to enhance system functionality for various systems used in Trusts and Estates (T&E) and Tax Operations.
Responsibilities
Develop knowledge of the core accounting system OMNI Trust
Elicit, analyze, and validate the business needs of stakeholders
Identify automation opportunities with the help of operations partners and utilize Signavio and/or Alteryx to build solutions
Collaborate with project sponsors to determine scope and vision
Conduct interviews to gather requirements including workflows and use cases.
Translates conceptual requirements into functional requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible for stakeholders and technology
Document requirements in business requirements documents and Jira stories
Coordinate and execute UAT for system enhancements
Manage and track status of requirements through the project lifecycle redefining as necessary
Communicates changes to business requirements to business stakeholders and technology
Drive execution of multiple projects and partner with Business Group Owners and Task & Workflow partners across WM to understand how (to what level) certain application impacts different Business Groups.
Engage with Task and Workflow Partners in new design discussions and user story refinement/grooming to create effective requirements including robust acceptance criteria using business-driven development
Assist in the development, planning, and execution of training and creation of job aids.
Manage stakeholder communications through contributions to working groups and steering councils including hosting the larger working group meeting
Identify and actively manage key risks and issues impacting Core Services
Effectively execute workflow changes (self-service) in Workflow Admin application and document the approval, communication plan, and justification of requested changes according to the established cross-LOB controls
Develop clear documentation of scope, requirements (user stories), workflows, wireframes, and other materials as needed to support design and development
The selected individual may be asked to assist with other tasks/projects at management discretion
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in project management
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Team player with excellent organization and project management skills
Experience working in agile project methodology including writing user stories a plus
Experience using Signavio Process and Decision Modeling and Alteryx
Adapts to a rapidly changing business and technical environment
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
Advanced computer skills: MS Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint)
Strong analytical and problem-solving ability - ability to analyze complex problems/scenarios, identify the root-cause and determine remediation steps
Detail-oriented and willing to dig in to understand current state and document user stories
Ability to build collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across business and technology
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
Demonstrated ability to manage to tight delivery timelines and calmness under pressure
College degree or equivalent work experience required
Need to obtain Series 99 within 120 days of hire
