The Maintenance Technician will perform a variety of day to day maintenance duties as well as those tasks assigned by the Campus President or his/her designee. The Maintenance Technician will serve as the primary back-up to the Custodian.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Monitor student lounge for cleanliness. Promptly report any major cleaning or equipment issues.
Check classroom tables and chairs for cleanliness daily.
Repair any broken or non-functioning equipment or furniture. Report to Campus President for referral to the proper vendor for repair.
Set up tables and other necessities for special events.
Return room(s) to original set-up after special events.
Receive and process supply and book deliveries.
Maintain bookroom inventory.
Back-up to the custodian.
Replace lights and fixtures as needed.
Perform minor patching, painting and repair to facilities as needed.
Coordinate with facilities repair personnel to maintain equipment functionality.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:
High School diploma
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Experience in general maintenance
Ability to work under minimal supervision
OTHER COMMENTS/REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to perform physical duties common to materials handling.
