Primary Function of Position:
Contribute your technical manufacturing and equipment design skills to a dynamic development and manufacturing team that creates sensing platforms for minimally invasive robotic surgery. The role requires active participation in new product development teams that create and refine electro-mechanical components, assemblies, process documentation, tooling and test methods while challenging new product designs to improve efficacy, reliability, manufacturability and cost for robotic surgical instruments.

The candidate must be able to coordinate their efforts with the development and manufacturing teams, and be able to report progress and milestones relative to the overall project. He or she must excel in a high-energy team environment and be capable of making sound decisions when faced with the time pressures and incomplete information typical of new product development and early stage manufacturing environments.

We are hiring a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer in sunny and beautiful Santa Barbara, CA. Roles & Responsibilities:

• Develop scalable, robust Telepresence Web applications over WebRTC
• Implement new features, optimize existing ones, fix bugs as they come up
• Translate wireframes to production code on web and mobile apps
• Use code reviews, test-driven development to deliver high quality software
• Work closely with other team members, incorporate their feedback
• Research, share, and recommend new technologies and trends
• Help mentor junior developers
• Follow security best practices
• Participate in design discussions

Skills, Experience, Education, & Training:

• BS, MS, or Ph.D. in Computer Science or 6 years of technical experience
• JavaScript ES6+
• NodeJS
• Extensive ReactJS experience
• Building restful APIs and micro-services
• Responsive design and UI/UX best practices

Nice-to-have:

• TypeScript
• React Native + iOS / Android tools
• Any CSS framework
• Any state management library
• Any other JavaScript framework
• Any other hybrid framework
• WebRTC, Jest, Puppeteer, SQL DB, and Prometheus
