CFCU Community Credit Union (CFCU) is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Administrative Assistant who will provides administrative and organizational support for the VP of Risk and the related Department functions. This is a dynamic position that assists with varying functions related to compliance, fraud, risk, and information security as well as with various committee functions and special projects. The successful candidate will be proactive, highly self-motivated, flexible, adaptable, well-organized and maintain a high level of confidentiality. This individual must possess the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and focus upon completing diverse set of tasks independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides a high level of organizational support to the VP of Risk.
  • Assists in the administration of the vendor management program, including the maintenance of the vendor management system and retention of related files and documents. Coordinates and tracks new vendor and any periodic reviews to ensure timely completion. Acts as a liaison with other departments and vendors.
  • Plays an integral role in the organization’s change management process including monitoring and managing the ticketing process, and enhancements or modifications of the ticket workflow or process.
  • Assists with the Cannabis Banking Program in collaboration with other department staff and the VP Risk for member communications, tracking, and reporting tasks as assigned.
  • Responsible for the administration of employee and employee-related account disclosures, for new staff and periodically for all staff, and for system maintenance of employee accounts for new and exiting staff to enforce internal controls over such accounts.
  • Assists the VP Risk with audit and examination requests to timely fulfill requested items and to track the completion of audit report review and responses.
  • Assists the VP Risk with tracking and completion of strategic and departmental projects as assigned.
  • Prepares reports, charts, graphs, and dashboards at the request of the VP Risk.
  • Manages requests from staff and members to the Department to ensure timely response and completion.
  • Works with other Department staff to assist with routine tasks or special nonrecurring and ongoing projects as assigned.
  • Assists with various committee tasks and special projects as assigned.
  • Maintains Department-related pages on the Credit Union’s intranet and assists with maintaining Department procedures.
  • Files claims with the Credit Union’s insurer on fraud and forgery cases in a timely manner. Maintains appropriate records of such claims.
  • Communicates with members and Credit Union staff in writing and verbally as may be necessary for various Department tasks and functions. Handles confidential and sensitive information and explains policies when necessary.
  • Assists with Credit Union staff training for various topics as assigned, including preparation, assignment of courses, and tracking.
  • Provide additional assistance and perform other duties as assigned.

Desired Skills:

  • 1-3 years administrative or related experience.
  •  Equivalent to a high school education.
  • Proficient with all Microsoft® Office applications.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with an attention to detail, even when multi-tasking.
  • Proven time management skills; ability to handle multiple concurrent assignments, with a high degree -of accuracy and able to meet deadlines.
  • Self starter with the ability to work independently.
  • High level of discretion and confidentiality.
  • Good analytical skills.
