Job Description
Provide PROGC with TPMA to support the PROGC Technical Director/TAM. TPMA includes, but is not limited to the following tasks:
a) Perform surveillance of NSC production and shipbuilder technical deliverables per PROGC Surveillance Plan to ensure contractor compliance with contract requirements, program goals, and shipbuilder Quality Management System IOT prevent defects and/or document non-compliance for correction and preservation of government entitlement at delivery.
b) Develop and maintain a reporting system for tracking of assigned Technical Division action items.
c) Maintain status of actions for PROGC Technical Division.
d) Track submittal and status of Technical Division responses to CDRLs.
e) Support PROGC Tech Director/TAM configuration control processes by coordinating the review of, and consolidating comments on Engineering Change Proposals (ECP), Waterfront Changes (WFC), Requests for Waiver (RFW), Request for Deviation (RFD), and Minor Change Notices (MCN). Provide to TAM and CM prior to weekly Change Management Board (CMB) meeting.
f) Conduct reviews of engineering drawings and specifications associated with CDRLs and engineering changes to ensure technical accuracy.
g) Conduct ship checks to validate engineering drawings and specifications associated with CDRLs and engineering changes to verify configuration.
h) Develop and maintain working relationship with PROGC QA, Production, Test, Logistics, and Data manager.
i) Develop and maintain working relationship with Shipbuilder's engineering and data management staff.
j) Prepare and modify USCG policy documents, position papers, analyses, designs, drawings, and presentations for review and approval of USCG technical authorities.
k) Edit and incorporate comments and changes to documentation as directed by the Technical Director/TAM.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of six (6) years' experience in HM&E systems obtained through journeyman craft or quality assurance experience in the construction of U.S. Navy surface combatants or Coast Guard Cutters.
a) Experience in performing, or overseeing machinery and equipment installation, equipment and systems testing and trials in a shipbuilding acquisition environment.
b) Demonstrated knowledge of military and industrial standards used in the design of marine machinery.
c) Experience in the development of Navy Ship Alterations or USCG Engineering Changes
