The Horticulturist plans and oversees the installation and maintenance of the landscaping on Westfield's campus and Westfield Country Club, including the golf courses. This includes responsibility for annual, perennial, and ornamental landscape bed maintenance. Provides oversight and support of daily operations of landscape management and snow removal. This individual will also assist leadership in review of landscape, irrigation, hardscape, and waterscape designs.
Requirements:
* 2-year degree in Horticulture, or related field; AND/OR 5 years of experience in a professional horticulture facility, nursery/greenhouse, and/or landscape design/installation.
* Possess a Commercial Ohio Pesticide Applicator License OR is able to obtain one within one year of employment.
* Valid driver's license.
* Ability to work with hand tools such as pruners, shovels, rakes, hoses, saws, and other tools; Operate a motor vehicle including a manual transmission and pull start small engines
* Ability to bend, lift and carry 50 lbs.
* Ability to work outside an tolerate extreme weather conditions.
Pay, Work Schedule and Other Benefits:
* Monday - Friday, from 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
* Salary Range: Minimum: $47,977.00 - Midpoint: $55,174.00
