Position Description:
The S&R Leader is responsible to act in accordance with the policies set forth in the current procedures manual. They are responsible for all shift shipping and receiving, inspection activities, dock coordination, and ERP transaction accuracy.
Responsibilities:
Ability to adhere to the attendance and punctuality policy.
Provides instruction to truck drivers regarding transfers to outside warehouses & switching.
Provides instruction to Switcher and or Warehouse personnel coordinating dock movements.
Assists Team Leader and fills in when Team Leader is unavailable.
Coordinates all dock operations and is responsible for all trailer movements.
Provides oversight, direction and relief to charges.
Communicates potential or realized process issues to customer and/or site management.
Serves as a liaison between Customers, Conversion, Quality and Logistics.
Aids in Adaptive planning of Logistics flow plan when required.
Aids in development of production plans which optimize the use of available resources such as labor, physical space, shuttle system and raw materials.
Utilizes approved ERP tools for inventory verification and Logistics flow planning
Communicates with Warehouse Manager, Logistics Manager and Conversion/Raw Materials Manager to optimize warehouse space and prepare for any inventory builds/reductions
Participate in physical inventories
Coordinates inbound and outbound traffic with Logistics Team Leader
Completes Maintenance Work Orders for warehouse resources as needed
Responsible for maintaining ISO standards.
Accurate ERP system transactions.
Charged with standardization of shift Shipping, Receiving and Inspection operations in assigned site facility.
Responsible for training, development and corrective actions as they relate to warehouse personnel particularly in the ERP arena. Subject Matter Expert.
Ensures materials shipped match BOL and materials received match PO.
Responsible for accuracy and completion of all shipping and receiving functions between this site and vendors, customers and all plants as well as intraplant movements.
Work in harmonious manner with Team Leaders and Area Leaders in all departments on all shifts to achieve the established objectives and build our teams.
Assist in daily reports, disbursing daily work assignments and provide input on performance evaluations as necessary.
Recommends and implements measures to improve site and company processes, resource utilization, and quality of product and waste reduction.
Accountable for assigned performance metrics.
Works in a safe and efficient manner at all times, monitors team members for safe practices and mentors best methods.
Follows and enforces company and local work rules, safety rules, policies and work instructions.
Initiate action for food safety issues
Perform duties and tasks as assigned to ensure efficient, balanced and effective use of all resources.
All other duties and functions as may be assigned by leadership.

Qualifications
High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
Minimum of 2-year college degree and/or 3 to 5 years of related job experience
Team oriented
Proficient in computer programs
Self-motivated
Good performance in previous job assignments
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills (as demonstrated during the interview process and verifiable through references)
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
Be able to demonstrate SAP knowledge and transaction competence
Possess technical skills and a willingness to continuously learn through training
Meets all Material Handler requirements
Prior experience in warehousing operations

The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance.
