Description

The Accountant I is responsible on a daily basis for cash application, payment processing, bank reconciling, and treasury accounting. Key responsibilities included but are not limited to:

Manage quality of daily processing and ensuring completion in line with agreed to SLAs.
• Maintain a strong understanding of ERP software and GCO processes to support straight through process changes as needed.


• Demonstrate a strong understanding of accounting principles and impacts to the balance sheet and profit and loss accounts.


• Identify items of escalation from external and internal customers and communicate clearly to Accountant II.


• Complete non-standard processing, with ability to learn and adapt to new situations.


• Contribute ideas and actions toward the continuous improvement of processes within area of influence.


• Identify items of exception and communicate clearly to Accountant II.


• Promote strong collaborative relationships between the Global Cash Operations Team and all other shared service teams including internal and external customers.

Position Requirements

• Minimum 1-2 years accounting experience


• Shared service center experience desired


• Familiarity with SAP a plus


• Advanced Microsoft Office suite expertise preferred


• Undergraduate degree in Accounting required. MBA / CTP preferred
