This role is within the Instrumentation and Specialty Control's Brookfield Engineering Business unit.
Viscometers, rheometers, texture analyzers and powder flow testers used in R&D, QC and inline applications for rheological fluid analysis, tension/compression analysis and powder flow analysis. Markets include food, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, oil and gas, personal care products, adhesives, printing inks and coatings, paper coatings, chemicals, packaging, plastics, construction materials, and asphalt.

AMETEK Brookfield is looking for an experienced Director of Quality and EHS who is passionate about quality and safety. The ideal candidate should have experience managing QMS and EHS systems in a global, fast paced and growing manufacturing and service environment.

As Director of Quality and EHS, you will be an important member of the executive team and report directly to the Vice President, Business Unit Manager. You will drive all the ISO9001 quality and OSHA safety metrics for the global business including manufacturing and service. In this role, the executive team will look to your vision for continuous improvement and leadership in quality and safety and align the organization’s resources to accomplish long-term business goals.

Responsibilities:

Provide strategic level thought leadership and execution to Quality’s and Safety’s vision, strategy, and annual operational plans.

Lead the development and management of Brookfield’s Quality and Safety’s teams, systems and compliances.

Drive the execution of QMS down through the organization by collaboration & influencing cross functional leaders.

Develop programs, policies and initiatives that generate significant QS improvement.

Develop and provide executive-level quality metrics and analytics.

Lead Brookfield’s quality management review and CAPA processes.

Ensure robust execution of internal and external audits. Maintain ISO 9001 certification.

Conduct tasks in accordance with applicable health, safety, quality, and environmental regulations as well as AMETEK policies and procedures.

Demonstrate expertise, train staff and advise real-time in problem-solving and root cause /corrective action processes.

Approve critical quality, procedures, agreements, surveys, reports, and audit documents.

Keeps current in the field with external or internal QMS education and training.

Manage all safety programs and conform to OSHA regulations.

Make appropriate and timely decisions based on current information and ensure adherence to existing company policy relating to delegation of authority.

Performs other job duties as assigned to meet business needs.

Position Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field (ME, EE, IE), Master’s degree preferred.

5+ years direct work experience managing a QMS in a technical and/or manufacturing environment
