RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform all duties in accordance with the CAPE Quality Manual and CAPE Code of Conduct Policy.
Review CAPE test requests, test preparation documents, and applicable supporting documentation prior to beginning test preparation to ensure clarity and completeness of information is supplied.
Implement all applicable CAPE Quality Management System (QMS) documents including but not limited to WI Work Instructions, CKL Checklists, TS Test Setups, CA Forms, CALC Calculators, CPTR Test Routers, and all other CAPE QMS documents.
Work with CAPE personnel to prepare test setups and conduct testing and posttest tasks as required to meet testing objectives and timelines to ensure customer deliverables are met, including but not limited to ATD’s, Test Fixtures, Test Machinery, Test Center Software, High-Speed Cameras and Lighting, Real-Time Cameras, Data Acquisition, and Instrumentation.
Work with the CAPE Operations Manager, CAPE Fabrication and Test Technician Manager, and CAPE Lead Test Technicians to establish and adjust schedules for customer test programs on CTR projects where assigned.
Notify the CAPE Quality Manager of quality-related incidents or trends that are observed.
Perform 5S at all CAPE test centers.
Be sure all communications and records (files) are free from poorly worded memos and reports which inaccurately describe customer products, development and/or testing efforts.
Maintain a high level of confidentiality to protect sensitive information, products, and innovations for our customers.
Understand and become proficient with applicable test centers and test machine operation including mechanical, hydraulic, electronic, and data acquisition systems as well as overall operational and safety issues.
Maintain a working level of knowledge and understanding of various standards applicable to the testing services that CAPE provides to customers.
Provide input on quality management system documentation to improve quality and efficiency.
Develop and maintain a working climate which increases the personal satisfaction of the individual and enhances productivity and quality of work through the achievement of CAPE departmental and divisional objectives.
Develop and maintain a free open flow of information and foster a “can do” attitude between CAPE personnel and our customers within the guidelines of CAPE departmental and divisional objectives.
Represent the company to the public, industry, and government in accordance with the company creed / core values.
Ensures communication that will affect the following: Personnel safety, Competency or quality of test services, test data or test equipment, Completion of test services within the planned timeframe.
Perform all duties in accordance with IMMI safety policies.
QUALIFICATIONS
High level mechanical aptitude – familiarity with test centers.
Must have a working knowledge with computers to efficiently operate (hands on) in an environment using Microsoft Office, etc.
Must have verbal, auditory and written English skills sufficient to receive work direction, to participate on cross-functional teams, to communicate with customers, and to be able to meet the reporting requirements of this position including e-mail, phone, and personal communication.
Must be able to work within the IMMI/CAPE facility; this is not a work at home position.
Must be able to be mobile for the entire day as required; this is not a desk job.
Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
Must be able to perform the following as required: climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, seeing, observing, and repetitive motions.
Must maintain an IMMI forklift license.
Must maintain an IMMI pyrotechnic license.
Must maintain a valid driver’s license and be able to drive when necessary.
Must be able to provide coverage after hours and weekends as required to support customer testing and meet project deadlines.
