POSITION SUMMARY:

This position will have a broad range of technical, day-to-day finance/accounting, and project-based responsibilities. All duties will be performed in a fast-paced, multi-tasking, and flexible environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Process transactional accounts.
•Prepare and post month-end journal entries.
•Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations.
•Aids internal auditors with required financial documentation.
•Oversees the day-to-day accounting processes, such as cash, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
•Reconcile cash receipts and corporate intercompany balances.
•Maintain and reconciles the GR/IR (goods-receipt/invoice-receipt) account balances.
•Responsible for analyzing and maintaining customer credit items.
•Maintain customer and vendor database.
•Assist with month-end closing and preparation of monthly financial statements.
•Assist with implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures.

Position Requirements:
EDUCATION:
•Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline required or a combination of education and experience.

EXPERIENCE:
5+ years in a similar accounting role

QUALIFICATIONS:

•Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet, professional manner.
•Eye for detail, accuracy is imperative.
•Knowledge of GAAP and other accounting standards.
•Able to meet deadlines.
•Excellent oral and written communication skills.
•Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
•Ability to be an effective team member and display initiative.
•Proficient with MS Word, Excel, or similar internal business management programs.
•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
•Ability to multitask and meet critical business deadlines.
•Familiar with aerospace industry a plus.
