Job Description:


Scope:

Maintains and implements environmental, health and safety (EHS) programs to ensure compliance with all applicable EPA, State of California, DOT and OSHA regulations. Works with and supports management team to prevent industrial injuries and illnesses. Maintains environmental management system (EMS) to assure continued certification to the ISO 14001 standard. Implements projects that decrease costs and improves EHS key performance indicators.

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Supports General Manager's and EHS Manager's efforts to prevent injuries, including leading a Central Safety Committee, acting on safety concerns, implementing and tracking corrective actions, and maintaining safety improvement action registers.

  • Develops, updates and delivers EHS training / awareness programs to both employees and contractors for compliance, injury/illness prevention and EMS certification for Santa Ana Operations.

  • Reviews job functions, materials handling and other activities including machine operations and manual lifting to determine improvements for compliance assurance and injury/illness prevention.

  • Works with EHS and central committee on analysis of all injury/illness incidents, including near misses for comprehensive root cause determination. Tracks identified corrective action to resolution.

  • Manages SA Operations select environmental programs including hazardous waste, air emissions, and water/wastewater programs to ensure full compliance. This will include the oversight and management of properly handling and disposal of all waste, including hazardous wastes that are generated in daily operations throughout the SA operations.

  • Reviews and updates Santa Ana EMS programs, including objective and target projects to achieve timely completion per TTM corporate program and certification.

  • Maintain all compliance and EMS certification records per corporate record of retention procedure.

  • Maintain and run reports for management on employee Safety Observation Reporting system.

  • Accomplish all job related paperwork in the most accurate and ethical manner.

  • Escort and assist regulatory agencies during routine inspections.

  • Attends meetings, communicates regularly with managers and supervisors, attends special training, maintains a clean, safe work environment and communicates to supervisors safety hazards and issues.

Essential Knowledge and Skills:


  • Able to accomplish all job related paperwork in the most accurate, timely and ethical manner.

  • Communicate regularly to supervisors/managers any safety hazards and issues, suggests procedural changes, maintains a clean, safe work environment.

  • Properly handle and dispose all waste, including hazardous wastes that are generated in daily operations as directed by the EHS department.

  • Responsible to report all accidents, near misses, unsafe acts and unsafe conditions. Perform job duties utilizing the required and appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

  • Full participation in safety training and the ability to understand and follow directions identified in the Job Safety Analysis (JSA), PPE Assessments, Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and all Safety Procedures and Alerts.

Education and Experience:



  • Bachelor's degree in applied science, engineering, occupational safety / hygiene or nursing.


  • Minimum 6 years of directly related EHS experience.


  • Valid driver's license.

Must comply with TTM Export Control Policies and Procedures and all applicable laws including ITAR, EAR and OFAC including but not limited to: a) being able to identify ITAR product on the manufacturing floor and understand that access to these products and related technical data is restricted to only US Citizens and US Permanent Residents; b) recognition of Foreign Person visitors by badge differentiation.
