VHB's growing Hauppauge, NY office is seeking a junior Site/Civil Engineer to join our team to support our land development projects.

About the Position

Site/Civil Engineer | Hauppauge, NY

Responsibilities

• Work within a team of professionals in developing site civil engineering plans and specifications for a multitude of land development projects, primarily in the institutions market


• Conducting site visits and assisting with construction oversight


• Civil engineering for site design including grading and drainage design, utility design site, and roadway layout


• Assisting with transportation aspects of projects including access, internal circulation, and parking


• Assist with the preparation of permitting, design, and construction documents


• Preparing plans and technical documents and reports

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering or related field


• 0-3 years of professional site/civil engineering experience


• EIT preferred


• AutoCAD, HydroCAD and StormCAD experience


• Experience with GIS Systems


• Knowledge of state and local regulations a plus
