What success looks like in this role:

If you are a highly passionate digital marketing leader, we want to hear from you! The Director of Digital Strategy is a critical position with a mission to drive the end-to-end digital vision for marketing. You will optimize seamless, integrated and personalized user experiences, storytelling and engagement across our digital channels. We are seeking a leading-edge thinker and doer who can successfully accelerate the vision, capabilities and operationalization of the full marketing technology stack. Today the stack includes Optimizely (DXP), Demandbase One (advertising/personalization), Eloqua (automation), MediaValet (DAM), Salesforce.com (CRM) and Google Analytics/GTM.

As the Digital Strategist, you work closely and collaboratively with internal marketing teams and with the IT applications team. Success in this position is dependent on your visionary understanding of the marketing technology ecosystem and its potential, effective cross-organizational relationship management, 'art of the possible' thinking, strong and positive people skills, and tactical leadership of systems, integrations, processes and analytics.

You are part of Marketing and Communications -- a highly collaborative team of US-based and international professionals who work closely with the Business Units, Sales Enablement and the CRO to grow the reputation of Unisys and execute strategies that address business goals.

Minimum Requirements:


  • 10 years of experience in leadership roles responsible for creating and implementing long-range strategic technology roadmaps that effectively demonstrate a digital technology vision

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Analytics or similar field

  • Proven strategic thinker with strong technical acumen and extensive knowledge of digital marketing techniques, best in class marketing technology platforms and tools, and emerging digital marketing initiatives

  • Experience successfully leading and influencing cross-functional teams

  • Advanced knowledge of online analytics programs

  • Experience aligning business goals and challenges with digital experiences, digital marketing and user experience strategies and tactics

  • Ability to effectively handle multiple projects and timelines

  • Self-starter who can lead strategic and practical conversations with internal clients and leaders

  • Ability to analyze research and make data-driven recommendations

  • Knowledge of UX research methodologies, including heuristics, user journeys, and persona development

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

What will your day look like?

As the Director of Digital Strategy, you are responsible for developing and implementing a sophisticated, measurable and integrated digital program to engage key audiences and provide actionable intelligence. You will figure out how to deliver dynamic, digital experiences that include advanced multilingual personalization; build online communities; address omni-channel publishing and engagement; and enable high-impact multi-touch campaigns. In service of Unisys' strategic vision, you will understand audience segmentation, campaign management, and online business development and trends. You will also work with our industry-leading IT team to optimize the marketing technology stack. You will assess the tech stack and ensure we are getting the most capability, actionable insight and return for the investments. Do you like solving puzzles? Responsibilities include:


  • Develop a marketing technology roadmap with a robust, innovative digital strategy that optimizes and scales existing capabilities, provides end-to-end analysis and insights, and facilitates online engagement

  • Provide strategic direction and recommendations to both the Marketing and IT teams to implement a variety of marketing technologies.

  • Using data and best practices, ensure corporate website technology platform, architecture and content enables dynamic, personalized user experiences, lead generation and nurturing, and robust analytics

  • Develop journey maps, personas, and conduct focus groups to define business requirements and leverage data-driven insights to develop campaigns across channels that improve lifetime client satisfaction and guide prospective clients in identifying and investigating solutions

  • Act as strategic advisor for all digital campaigns that leverage all relevant interactive channels and automated marketing tools (i.e., social media, web site, blogs, email, search and CRM)

  • Define key performance indicators and implement measurement, analytics and reporting methods to ensure success. Provide key data and analysis of digital activities to all relevant teams and leadership.
