Description

We are hiring immediately, for a Shipping & Receiving position located in Kansas City, MO working full-time Monday- Friday: Day Shift. 6:30am - 3:00pm

This position is responsible for the pulling, packing and shipping of orders for truck and parcel, requiring the preparation of shipping documents in SAP, labeling for label on demand products, and proper labeling of hazardous materials.

Essential Job Functions:

Pick, pack, ship orders for Truck, Fed-X / UPS Ground and Air
• Preparation of shipping documents in SAP


• Product labeling for label on demand items


• Complete shipper's declaration of D/G prepare D/G B.O.L.'s


• Complete shippers' letter of instructions, pro-forma invoices


• Stock up / stock organization using computerized Locator System


• Load and unload trucks


• Keep work area clean and supplies stocked


• Adhere to all company quality, environmental, departmental and safety policies


• Eventually participate in cross-training of other departmental duties

Position Requirements

Required Education and Experience:

• HS Diploma/GED


• 1-3 years experience


• Ability to operate a sit-down Forklift


• Working knowledge of safety procedures


• Able to work on a computer (Microsoft Office)


• Attention to detail and ability to prioritize


• Ability to follow directions and work well in a team


• Must be able to lift 50+ lbs.


• Must be able to work 40 hrs. weekly, overtime and weekends

Preferred Experience:

• Prior experience preparing dangerous goods shipments (D/G)


• Knowledge of FED-X Ship Manager system


• Stand up Forklift and sit down forklift


• Haz mat experience

Shift:

• 1st Shift (6:30 AM-3:00 PM)
  

Background and Drug Screen are mandatory if an offer is made.
