JOB FAMILY DESCRIPTION

Responsible for the planning, development, implementation and measurement of the company's external WordPress website, other designated external web properties, and intranet SharePoint platform. Ensures all sites are managed in alignment with our marketing, brand strategy and corporate communications. Collaborates with Digital Marketing Team to establish goals speed (traffic, crawlability, technical site health, etc.) for the various websites; monitor and analyze all web traffic; analyze and report on site performance metrics; and make recommendations for improving these metrics.

GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Maintain and optimize (back-ups, testing, upgrades, speed, functionality) the external WordPress CMS and website and other web properties, as assigned

  • Manage requests for, document, review and approve corporate domain names based on overall marketing and brand strategy and processes

  • Maintain and manage staging and production environments/promotions for external WordPress website and other web properties, as assigned

  • Update the UI and functionality of the CMS and external website, as needed

  • Work collaboratively to improve external site technical Search Engine Optimization (SEO) strategies

  • Identify opportunities to optimize page and site loading speeds and resolve accordingly for a measurable increase in site speed

  • Collaborate with marketing staff and vendors on projects related to Black Knight web properties

  • Work collaboratively with the UI/UX and design team to create a website style guide for consistent and cohesive design and functionality elements across all pages and elements

  • Ensure external website adheres to all applicable federal compliance initiatives (e.g. ADA, WCAG 2.0, etc.) as advised by Corporate Compliance

  • Continually test external website across various devices, browsers and operating systems and proactively solve issues that may arise

  • Work with Account and Project Managers within the Marketing team to update content to keep pages fresh, engaging and intriguing

  • Write clear and concise code to solve for functionality upgrades as needed

  • Work with WPEngine and internal IT resources to ensure website and web server functionality and efficiency

  • Respond to user complaints quickly and appropriately

  • Manage access rights for users

  • Audit site and remediate any errors

  • Meet with management to report regularly on current functionality and plans for future functionality

  • Proactively improve website interactivity, functionality, and usability

  • Perform research and set benchmarks on current trends and audience preferences

  • Collaborate with design to create interactive and well-designed content

  • Track and analyze usage of external website and internal web portal

  • Engage in process development and documentation for ongoing website processes.

  • Work with internal teams and vendors on handling email sending domain requests

  • Maintain and manage SSL certificate processes, including requests, renewals, and retirements

  • Support cookie banner implementation, where applicable

  • Performs other related duties as assigned

EDUCATIONAL GUIDELINES

Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.

ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS


  • Prior experience as a Webmaster or Web Developer/Programmer required

  • Required Technical Skills

    • Proficiency in WordPress development, content management, and Google Analytics.

    • Proficiency in Google Webmaster tools and AMP.

    • Proficiency of programming languages (fundamental PHP, JavaScript, HTML5/XHTML and CSS)

    • Proficiency in graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Flash)



GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES


  • Knowledge, creativity and technical skills in WordPress and SharePoint tools and technology

  • Ability to create, update, and maintain functional website pages that are visually attractive, functionally effective, and easy-to-use.

  • Experience with website performance management and search engine optimization (SEO)

  • Knowledge of a wide range of interface design, web development, techniques, and methodologies

  • Knowledge of potential performance and security issues

  • Knowledge of advantages and disadvantages of operating systems and of various browsers (e.g., Microsoft Edge, Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Mozilla Foxfire, etc.)

  • Knowledge to design and demonstrate efficient, user friendly and visually appealing screens

  • Knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures of communications

  • Stays informed of, evaluates, and recommends new and emerging web technologies

  • Exercises good judgement to troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve problems

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team to provide suggestions and improve results.

  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills with ability to recommend process improvements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels within Black Knight or outside the organization (executives, regulators, clients, etc.)

Webmaster II:

Intermediate professional level role. Moderate skills with high level of proficiency. Works under general supervision with increased latitude for independent judgment with broad implication to the business. Works on moderately-complex to complex projects as a project team member or project manager and consults with management as needed. Accountable for the design, upgrading, enhancement, maintenance, availability and effectiveness of technical functionality and content for one or more websites of the enterprise. Typically requires five (5) or more years of relevant work experience as a Webmaster or Web Developer/Programmer.

Although target pay range may vary by work location, a representative pay range is: $70,000 to $80,000 annually.
