This role will support the recently announced GXO part of the organization, which represents the intended spinoff of our global contract logistics business. As the VP, DE&I will serve as the champion for advancing and evolving the companies DE&I vision, strategy, and initiatives to advance the company's business objectives and reinforces our inclusive culture.

What you'll do on a typical day:


  • Lead enterprise-wide DE&I program strategy by planning, developing, and directing strategic and operational efforts

  • Partner with the executive leadership team and associates throughout the organization to further develop the vision, direction, and execution of overall DE&I strategy, and road map, including training, education, engagement, program development, and implementation

  • Leverage data to inspire action and drive outcomes across the organization; ensure preparation of diversity metrics/measurements on a regular frequency

  • Leverage resources, insight, know-how, relationships, and data to ensure involvement, support, and success for inclusion and diversity initiatives

  • Provide leadership and strategy in further designing and building GXO's reputation and employment brand to attract a diverse employee population

  • Encourage and moderate open and practical conversations to lead departments, teams, and individuals to a greater understanding of DE&I in the workplace

  • Build a comprehensive measurement system that supports our strategy for accountability demonstrating, progress and improvement by setting benchmarks and quantitative and qualitative objectives; regularly measure effectiveness and communicate results

  • Advance our strategic roadmap and key performance indicators to align with our DE&I objectives within our business outcomes

What you need to succeed at GXO:

At a minimum, you'll need:


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience

  • 10 years of senior leadership experience designing, implementing, and sustaining key company initiatives in a complex organization

  • In-depth knowledge of and experience with core diversity and inclusion concepts and practices as well as strong capability in organizational change

It'd be great if you also have:

  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate partnerships with and between company and community constituencies

  • Awareness of global, national, and regional trends around inclusion and diversity. Demonstrated budget development and oversight experience and the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines while handling a demanding workload. Must be both a strategic leader and a tactical worker
