Job Description:

Nemours is seeking a HR System Specialist (Full-Time, Temporary), to join our Nemours Children's Health team. This is a temporary position and can be located in either Orlando, Florida or Jacksonville, Florida.

Located in Orlando, Fla., Nemours Children's Hospital is the newest addition to the Nemours integrated healthcare system. Our 100-bed pediatric hospital also features the area's only 24-hour Emergency Department designed just for kids as well as outpatient pediatric clinics including several specialties previously unavailable in the region. A hospital designed by families for families, Nemours Children's Hospital blends the healing power of nature with the latest in healthcare innovation to deliver world-class care to the children of Central Florida and beyond. In keeping with our goal of bringing Nemours care into the communities we serve, we also provide specialty outpatient care in several clinics located throughout the region.

This position is responsible for: supporting the successful use of human resource related information and systems while serving as an internal HRIS consultant to Nemours. Identifying opportunities to improve HRIS related processes. The HR System Specialist will use this knowledge of HR systems and policies to train and educate staff on HRIS procedures.


  • Accurately key data changes in to HR related systems
  • Processes updates to HR related systems in a timely manner
  • Provide guidance to all Nemours Associates on the use of HRIS related tools and forms
  • Collaborate with internal and external customers on HR system related topics
  • Perform system audits to maintain data integrity
  • Audit Benefit Administration interface and changes
  • Responsible for the successful administration of the Annual Increase Tool
  • Process daily personnel action and data changes in a timely manner
  • Participates in HR system testing as needed
  • Collaborate with Finance and IS on Job Requisition process flow, position creation, and position budgeting
  • Work closely with the Legal department to process separation agreements
  • Perform Annual FSA Dependent Audits
  • Develop form and document processes to enhance Lawson functionality
  • Research and resolve any Lawson related issues
  • Participate in Lawson system testing patches and upgrades as needed
  • Process on-time benefit deductions from LOA Administrator
  • Update intranet site (PAF documentation) as needed

Job Requirements


  • Associate's Degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience required.
  • Healthcare experience preferred.
