As the Lead Architect, Billing System, you will develop and maintain invoicing department data pulls, work with various departments to document billable activities, define parameters in both GXO internal and client warehouse management systems. What you'll do on a typical day:


  • Provide expertise in business requirements analysis, database design & entity relationship data modeling

  • Work with large volume data handling and query performance profiling/optimization/tuning, troubleshooting

  • Work with invoicing analysts, pricing team and account management to document billable activities

  • Work with IT Client support to document parameters to pull billable activities for custom client configurations

  • Develop and execute queries to obtain data from various databases to support invoicing and ad-hoc analysis

  • Design and build complex ETL, cleansing, and data integration/synchronization processes across information systems

  • Conduct and coordinate quality assurance testing between Operations, IT, Finance and Reporting to ensure accuracy and integrity of data

  • Troubleshoot, optimize, and audit existing billing queries to maintain integrity

  • Provide data visualizations and basic reporting to convey volume trends

  • Seek continuous improvement in invoicing and reporting processes to improve report content and minimize the level of effort required to produce and publish them.

What you need to succeed at GXO:

At a minimum, you'll need:


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent related work or military experience

  • 4 years' experience using SQL, PL/SQL, Toad for data analysis, extraction, troubleshooting and reporting

  • Familiarity with supply chain/logistics operations management concepts a plus

It'd be great if you also have:

  • Master's degree

  • Project management experience

  • Excellent planning, client support and organizational skills

  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) development and implementation

  • Familiarity with basic accounting principles a plus
