Building Maintenance Supervisor at University of Houston - Victoria in Victoria, Texas

Job Description:

Oversees daily building maintenance operations, supervises assigned staff, and performs maintenance and repairs for buildings in assigned zone.

1. Supervises and provides technical support to assigned staff in the maintenance and repair of university buildings in assigned zone.


2. Oversees and maintains building automation systems in assigned zone; administers and monitors system repairs and preventative maintenance program.


3. Oversees daily work order log, ensuring timely completion of work orders within time and budget constraints.


4. Schedules in-house and contracted minor renovation projects.


5. Inspects buildings in assigned zone weekly for needed maintenance and repairs; reports findings to supervisor for planning and prioritization.


6. Performs skilled and general repairs in assigned zone.


7. Coaches and trains assigned staff on job assignments and work standards; ensures staff complete all mandatory and safety training.


8. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
