Candidate will be working on NXP's Wi-Fi/Bluetooth/802.15.4 devices and Wireless Micro-controllers and will be closely working with NXP Customers, NXP Marketing, Field Application Engineers to promote NXP's offerings for Pre-sales opportunities, enable successful integration of NXP chips to Customer platforms and take up Post Sales activity support which includes debugging and resolving issues in device driver/firmware, resolve integration issues with Operating System and Customer application.
Candidate would serve as a Lead on critical customer projects and be a single point of interface to the Customer and NXP Sales, Field Applications Engineers. Candidate will work with a Cross Functional team of Program Managers, Product Managers, R&D team to plan deliverables for the customer, take responsibility on customizing software (driver & firmware) and support customer to resolve issues.
On a day to day basis, post-sales support tasks include reproducing Wi-Fi/Bluetooth/802.15.4 issues reported by customer on NXP reference platform, collect logs, come up with solid analysis and root-cause the issue by debugging in driver and firmware using tools like JTAG etc.
Candidate will be involved in developing Product collateral like App Notes, User Guide, Datasheets, creating and presenting demos to demonstrate product value, learning from debugging/support experience and providing feedback to R&D teams, Product Managers to improve NXP solution offerings
Percentage of Travel Required < 30%
Bachelors/Masters degree in Electrical Engineering/Computer Engineering
10 years of experience working in Semiconductor industry in Applications/Field-Applications/Software Development positions
5 years experience in SW development and programming in C/C++
Experience using scripting languages like Python/Perl/Shell for automation/test setup
Candidate should be process oriented and willing to take up responsibility for the success of a customer project from a Systems Engineer perspective working on support from pre-sales requirement stage to support bring up and post-sales/product launch..
Effective in communicating with Cross Functional teams to get things done and motivated to get things resolved in high pressure situation/strict deadlines.
