Job Description:

THE ROLE:

The Sr. Financial Analyst, Americas will be a key member in providing FP&A support to the LATAM region (South America, Central America, Mexico, and Brazil). This role will be responsible for supporting the forecast and analysis of the region’s full P&L such as Revenue, SG&A (especially promotions and sales events), Capital Expenditures, including analysis of key sales metrics to establish trends.  Additionally, this position will support the region with standard processes and procedures related to budgeting, investment requests, and spending approvals, and will work closely with regional management and Local country FP&A team members.

 

HOW YOU WOULD CONTRIBUTE: 


  • Play key role in supporting the regional budget/forecast consolidation process and reporting activities to ensure financial records are accurately updated in OneStream timely.

  • Play key role in supporting the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting processes (revenue, SG&A, expenses) for all the various LATAM markets and cost centers.

  • Perform variance analysis for full P&L (Net Sales, Operating Costs, Operating Income) between actual costs and approved budgets and forecasts, identifying and implementing areas of improvement where required.

  • Become member of promotions and sales event taskforce, acting as regional finance support for forecasting and analysis of all related costs (advertising, promotions, and sales event expenses).

  • Evaluate and monitor key sales metrics to explain/identify trends (new members, avg order size, productivity, purchasing activity, etc.)

  • Support regional and country finance staff members with forecasting, budgeting, ROI analysis, and reviewing/routing of various expenditure approvals.

  • Host weekly/bi-weekly business partnership calls with local FP&A to stay connected and discuss relative topics.

  • Prepare various presentations for and used by regional management.

  • Act as liaison between country level finance managers, corporate FP&A, corporate accounting, tax and legal.

  • Participate in special projects and task forces and perform ad-hoc duties/analysis as assigned.

 

WHAT’S SPECIAL ABOUT THE TEAM: 


  • The FP&A America’s team oversees the North America, South and Central America, Brazil, and Mexico regions, and works closely with each region’s dedicated local country FP&A team and management teams.  Through the daily interactions, this position will have the opportunity to experience the different personalities across the SAMCAM markets that will keep this role exciting.

SKILLS AND BACKGROUND REQUIRED TO BE SUCCESSFUL: 


  • Bilingual in Spanish

  • Ability to create, run and maintain financial and analytical models

  • Strong analytical and detail oriented

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and writing skills

  • Proficiency in the MS Office: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

  • Ability to interact effectively at all levels with sensitivity to cultural diversity

  • Team player and able to effectively communicate with all levels, up through executive management

Education


  • 5-8 years’ experience in corporate finance or financial services consulting to include 3-4 years’ experience in complex financial modeling

  • Strong proficiency with income, balance sheet and cash flow statements

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Capital Expenditure Investment Analysis
