In this role you will help to ensure fun and entertaining events take place at the Ipswich YMCA for youth and families as part of our scheduled rentals, parties, and membership engagement activities. On a regular day you will ensure the safe and fun execution of rentals and on-site programs including the timely set-up and clean-up of equipment and materials, engagement of participants in activities managing transitions and ensuring the smooth running of multiple programs throughout the day, and encourage participation in a variety of physical activities as part of the Y experience. Additionally, you will act as an ambassador for the Y. You will inform visitors of the wide variety programs and activities available at the Y, while providing exceptional customer service to all, and inviting visitors to participate in future programs.
To thrive in this role you have excellent time management skills and a keen attention to detail. You enjoy leading activities and events, working directly with children and youth. You have the ability to use sound judgement in the event of the unexpected. You are responsible and a natural leader. This is a great opportunity for someone interested in gaining experience in events or working with children in a recreational setting.
