The Safety, Security & Education Manager will be responsible to provide guidance on MA Safety, Security, Environmental, Compliance and Education policies and SOPs in addition to any legislation as may be set by local, State, and Federal Regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
an appointed principal management representative accountable for Safety, Security, Environmental & Compliance requirements
Create, implement, monitor & train employees on all Environmental Programs.
Develop, implement, and monitor environmental & safety policies, procedures and documents.
Coordinate environmental and safety audits and analyse results for all facilities
Facilitate the distribution of Safety, Security, and Education alerts to increase awareness within operations
Adhere to and implement Central and Regional operational training procedures.
Oversee LAS operational, customer, and safety/security training records.
With Management & Supervisors, identify training needs. Design, develop, and implement training.
courses/materials and evaluate/validate courses, materials trainers, mentors, and external training providers
Accident, incident, reporting, and investigation
Provide timely management reports weekly and monthly as required.
Responsible for driving corporate safety, security and training programs.
To provide guidance and support to operational management on matters of safety & Security
Process of hazard identification and risk control, develop policy and procedures.
Proactively promote a “Safety First” culture
Supporting the field operation to introduce safe and secure working procedures and proactive audit inspections and audit programs
Establish and support LAS Health and Safety Committee
Liaise with the regulatory aviation authorities within LAS Station to ensure compliance.
Monitor changes in legislation & amend operational training requirements accordingly.
Report any significant deficiency in our products, materials and documents.
Has the duty to suggest any improvements to working practices especially those relating to safety and security
Conduct audits, as described in the Quality Assurance Manual
Qualifications and Experience:
Demonstrates considerable experience in the field of safety, security, and education
Demonstrates an ability to both design and deliver SOPs
Facilitation skills
Underpinning knowledge of the aviation industry
Ability to manage projects and people
Demonstrates an ability to work and liaise at a senior management level
Demonstrates an understanding of diversity within the workplace
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Possess and maintain valid US driver's license with a clean driving record.
Pass pre-employment drug screen, and all pre-employment testing.
Must be comfortable lifting 70lbs repetitively.
Must be comfortable working in all weather conditions.
Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays.
Excellent communication skills
Ability to remain calm and efficient under pressure.
Competent in handling difficult situations
Advanced Computer Skills
Prior Ramp/Airline experience required.

Prepared to travel within operational region
