I. Job Summary | Major goals and objectives.
Brings innovative ideas and solutions to editorial problems, print pages, and platforms. With a keen eye for typography, the Designer will design front-of-book and back-of-book magazine pages, assign illustrations, work on logos, franchises, and other visual needs for the brand.
In addition to the magazine, the Designer will occasionally collaborate with other branches to work on initiatives outside the scope of the print magazine.

III. Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements | All must be met to be considered.
Education:
Bachelors in Graphic Design or related field, or commensurate experience
Experience:
Minimum 3 years as a designer
Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Must be proficient in: InDesign, Illustrator, PhotoShop, Powerpoint. Working knowledge of Web design applications.
Ability to absorb and synthesize complex branding and style requirements from clients and account managers
Proven record of collaborative work
Extreme attention to detail and consistency of work
Well organized and able to balance multiple simultaneous projects
Self-motivated and a natural problem-solver
Must be comfortable following direction and implementing changes, thrive on multidisciplinary teams, and be able to balance strong design with short deadlines
Ability to work with outside vendors for printing and multi-media needs
Stays abreast of design/technology trends
