Job Description:

Position works within the strategic marketing team and is critical to achieving the company's volume and profit growth targets; lead and manage assigned brand product line(s) as well as product team and responsible for developing product strategy and features while following product development from start to finish. Job duties include product lifecycle management, pricing, value proposition, and providing product communications support; ensure current products meet target customer needs; work with internal and external stakeholders on enhancing products so they are competitive in the marketplace; drive product innovation to meet needs of the organization as well as satisfying on-going customer requirements; work with sales, customer service, and field service to capture user experiences and address with current product offerings; work closely with marketing and innovation to identify product development opportunities through research, analysis and collaboration that results in enhanced products, product line extensions or new product development; work with Manager of Product Management to prioritize projects and product timelines; document proposals driven by New Product Development Process (NPD) which include opportunity available, resources necessary, costs, time to develop, and proposed Return on Investment (ROI); optimize product pipeline, strategy and time to market; collaborate cross-functionally and with key partners to enhance/develop products that support strategic relationships and/or positioning within the market; document all projects and enhancement requests; collect and analyze feedback from customers, stakeholders and other teams to shape requirements, features and end products; produce and review product requirements documents; hire, assess, develop and grow product development organization; work with marketing and Engineering to develop a strategy to align product innovation with business goals, desired customer experience, customer feedback and overall market opportunities; work closely with customers and potential partners to determine additional business segments and integration opportunities to create future revenue streams; define strategic platforms for new products and build a robust pool of ideas, such as product enhancements to achieve revenue, market and product portfolio objectives; work with Innovation, build new product pipeline against strategic platforms to deliver 3-5 year plan.

Requirements:

Master's in Mechanical Engineering and two years of experience in job offered or as an Application Engineer; or Bachelor's and five years of experience.

Background in education, training or experience must include demonstrated ability to manage extensive cross-functional interaction, including influencing and building partnerships with senior leadership, Research and Development, marketing, innovation/design/manufacturing engineering, operations, sales leadership and customers; demonstrated ability to maintain assigned product pipelines to include new and enhanced products; experience in product line development, supply chain processes and manufacturing operations; demonstrated experience working in a highly matrixed organization; proven ability to develop and execute strategic programs and supporting tactics; excellent verbal and written communication skills; superior project management skills with ability to deliver on tight timelines; demonstrated ability to grasp complex business environment and concepts and articulate clearly; proven capability to build a collaborative work environment.

Approximately 10% domestic travel required to company sites, client sites, training; no telecommuting benefit, no alternate work or residence location available.
