Summary

The Payroll Manager will work with the Payroll Supervisor to oversee the payroll function and ensure timely and accurate processing of payrolls following corporate policy, federal and state regulations. Communicates with management, especially Human Resources, and associates to find resolutions to any payroll issues. This position will have a team of employees that report to them and report directly to the Director of Global Human Resource Information Systems.

Responsibilities


  • Ensure that all payments/interfaces/journal entries are executed appropriately and in a timely manner.

  • Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislations, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management of changes.

  • Cover for team members in back-up role for vacation and/or high-volume work efforts.

  • Maintain payroll guidelines to ensure adequate internal controls and compliance with corporate policies.

  • Operates as the subject matter expert and escalation point to resolve issues and continuously looks for improvements in processes and designs and implements those initiatives.

  • Provide ad-hoc reports and analysis as needed.

  • Build partnerships with associates within and outside the department. Communicate in a concise and professional manner. Prioritize and multitask efficiently to achieve department goals in a timely and efficient manner and prepare for expanded roles within the organization. Develop skills of staff and prepare them to complete new assignments of increasing complexity.

  • Communicate openly with other department executives on financial issues.

  • Partner with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with reporting timetables and prepare schedules to support the quarterly reviews and annual audit.

  • Review/approve account recons; equity payments

  • Support special projects, as needed

Requirements


  • 4 Year Degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance from an accredited college or university preferred

  • 3-5 years of Payroll experience dealing with multiple states; California or New York are critical

  • Positive attitude & team approach

  • Excellent analytical & research skills

  • Strong technical skills to troubleshoot various system questions/issues

  • Detailed oriented for accurate results

  • Highly motivated individual with excellent time management skills

  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written

  • Strong Excel and Word skills

  • Ability to adapt to changing environment and support of multiple groups

Desired Qualifications:


  • ADP Vantage and WFN system knowledge

  • Kronos and Workday knowledge

  • Canadian payroll processing

Export Statement:

a) Must comply with TTM Export Control Policies and Procedures and all applicable laws including ITAR, EAR and OFAC. b) Ensure compliance with the Corporate Export policies through implementation and enforcement of these procedures at the plant level. c) Provide training, assistance and support to all departments to ensure policy compliance. d) Conduct periodic audits as required. e) Prepare and submit ITAR and EAR license application documentation as required. f) Provide feedback to Corporate Export Compliance Office for continuous improvement of procedures and overall Export Compliance program.
