Load and unload materials in warehouses and storage facilities. Materials may be moved from trucks and other transport equipment
Receive materials into an organization and verify materials against invoices to ensure the accuracy of the delivery.
Count or weigh parts to check quantity accuracy. Contact the vendor when shipment is inaccurate to rectify the discrepancy.
Perform transactions in the inventory system to enter new quantities and, during shipping transactions, to remove inventory from stock.
Use material moving equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts and dollies to bring products and materials to an appropriate location. Issue materials to departments in the organization upon request. This involves transacting inventory quantities to the department and delivering the parts to the work area.
Monitors the stockroom inventory and reports discrepancies in quantities to supervisors.
Keep area and surrounding area clean and safe.
General assist to others in department.
Learn and adhere to required safety standards and procedures.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum of One (1) year of a strong manufacturing background working with handling materials.
Knowledge of inventory computer databases.
Ability to operate Forklift, hand forklift, weight scale, general mechanical tools and general hand tools.
Interact and communicate in a professional and effective manner with all level employees.
Schedule and organize time and tasks effectively
Ability to work in a challenging and schedule driven environment
Strong organizational skills.
Ability to plan and perform unusual and difficult work processes
Ability to interpret blueprints and operation sheets.
Education Requirements:
* High school diploma or GED required
