Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Manufacturing team at our Metal Coaters 951 Prisock Rd, Byram, MS 39272 location!

The Material handler is responsible for general labor within the facility. Position includes a comprehensive benefits package and paid time off on day one and mentorship support to ensure successful team member growth and development. Overtime is anticipated with this full-time, direct hire opportunity. Multiple shifts available.

Education and Experience

• HS Diploma or equivalent


• Basic computer skills (Email, Internet, Excel, Word)


• Forklift and crane a plus - must be trainable


• Flexible with working overtime and weekends when needed

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• This job will entail working with forklift, overhead cranes, packing tipper and all auxiliary equipment.


• Work from shop orders, schedules and special instructions.


• Band, wrap and package all finished goods material from the paint line, slitter, and embossing line per required customer specifications


• Participate in weekly inventory of all packaging supplies and skids.


• Maintain cleanliness of skid storage area.


• Unload coil cart.


• Package coils.


• Move and relocate coils.


• Empty scrap hopper on Exit End as required.


• Perform daily maintenance checks on equipment used for packaging.


• Assure usage of oldest supplies first.


• Assist in material inventories.


• Keep work area in a clean and orderly condition.


• Band and place all mill claim coils in proper area.


• Perform various other duties as required or as assigned


• Able to lift 60lbs


• Requires experience with hand tools, wrenches, banding equipment, and nail guns


• Requires use of measuring gauges


• Able to read tape measure


• Detail and quality oriented


• Verifiable dependability and energetic


• Good communication skills
