Position Summary:
This position is responsible for answering incoming and internal calls and transferring calls to other departments and individuals, transfer information, handle all emergency code calls per protocol, page employees overhead when appropriate and be able to handle any situation quickly and smoothly. Operators must respond in a calm and professional manner to emergency situations including various code and alarm panels in the switchboard area.

Minimum Requirements:
- One-year experience answering a high volume of calls, preferably in a hospital setting is desirable.
- Experience in a health care setting preferred

Education/Licenses/Certifications:
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Related coursework and or experience
