The Customer Care Technology group is responsible for providing product management, engineering, development, operations, and support of the Alight's Customer Care business. The Transformation Project Manager will be aligned to the customer care modernization strategy that will transform the way that our customer care representatives service our participants.

The Transformation Project Manager engages with vendors, internal technology colleagues and the Customer Care business to manage all aspects of the CCR Desktop modernization program that includes initiation, planning, execution, communication, control, and close. This role is crucial to the success of Customer Care Technology managing and delivering on the project demand within the business areas and the Product & Technology organizations.

Responsibilities:


  • Oversees and leads large, varied and complex portfolio of programs and/or projects covering multiple domains and disciplines

  • Responsible for execution of all aligned programs or projects to meet defined objectives.

  • Creates and manages the overall program strategy including, process execution, change management, risk mitigation and budget management

  • Develops a detailed project plan with activities, dependencies, stakeholders, risks and resources.

  • Integrates multiple projects against resource, priority, and timeline dimensions.

  • Leads teams in identifying and managing risks associated with complex projects.

  • Manages project financials including capitalization processes, and contractor HR management

  • Ensures coordination across entire organization to ensure success of projects and/or the program.

  • Drives improvements using continuous improvement methodologies and data to lead process improvements .and facilitates change management related to various technology projects and/or programs

  • Serves as the main point of contact for resource, deliverable and timeline issue escalations

  • Facilitates regular updates with senior business leads, vendors, portfolio and IT stakeholders.

  • Mentors and/or manages aligned project managers.

Role-Specific Technical Skills and Knowledge:


  • Experience with broad change transformation projects in an agile development environment

  • Demonstrated knowledge of PMI, Agile, and waterfall methodologies preferred.

  • Agile software methodology and project management tools. Jira experience a plus.

  • Experience with Software Application lifecycle delivery

  • Experience in (Azure & AWS) Cloud native application based on multi-tenant or virtualized architecture project delivery

  • Experience with SaaS product selection, implementation, and vendor management

  • Technical understanding of implementing leading call center, Health, Wealth Benefits, and HR management platforms required

  • Comprehensive understanding of project and program management principles specifically relating to client-facing projects and portfolio management.

  • Understands how different pieces of technology fit and function together as a system

  • Basic understanding of technology infrastructure, specifically related to global WorkPlace technologies, i.e., email, collaboration, laptop upgrades and VDI (Virtual Desktop Interface).

  • Understands business processes and operations

Education and Work Experience Requirements:


  • Bachelor's Degree or appropriate field of study in Project Management, Technology, HR or equivalent work experience

  • 7+ years of project management experience, including tracking and planning projects

  • 7+ years of experience working with business stakeholders within a cross-functional matrix environment

  • 5+ years of previous experience with gathering requirements from the client / business and documentation

  • Proven ability to work in an ambiguous environment and collaborate across multiple areas in order to achieve a common business objective

  • Proven ability to demonstrate a drive for results and accountability of business needs

  • Demonstrate decisiveness in resolving business problems, making decisions and identifying priorities

  • Interpersonal skills to influence and spur change, facilitate and enhance performance within a cross - functional environment

  • Proficient with MS Project, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint and SharePoint with experience presenting to stakeholders and / or Senior Leadership

Certifications:

  • Scrum (CSM), PMI-PMP, PMI-ACP certification, preferred
