Product Manager - Multi-Channel Ordering at Best Buy in Richfield, Minnesota

Job Description:

Best Buy is seeking customer-obsessed Product Managers. There are 2 openings within our Multi-Channel Ordering teams.

The Inventory Staging Team is a brand new team that delivers continuous improvements within the inventory movement space by ensuring transfer orders and purchase orders are created and maintained and released to the fulfilling location(s) to meet customers' promise date. Additionally, the team handles scenarios where the inventory was not available and ensures the order gets "back on track".

The Customer Post Purchase Experience is responsible for supporting customers who have purchased with Best Buy by supplying them with the information they need to monitor their order's fulfillment and the capabilities to modify their order if necessary.

Product Managers at Best Buy lead and engage cross-functional team members and partners for delivery, maintaining a focus on customer needs while delivering against prioritized outcomes and advancing the product vision.

Our Product Managers own backlog or sprint management and crafting clear product outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Participate in day to day product team activities, driving high-quality customer experiences and exploring what is possible with evolving technology and data science concepts and tools

  • Effectively translate business strategies into product strategies, roadmaps, and product specifications to deliver against our core customer value propositions and strategic and financial goals

  • Help manage the creation and maintenance of user stories and business requirements for new features and enhancements leveraging multiple work streams.

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, user experience (UX) teams, project managers, data scientists, and other relevant Product teams

  • Analyze and provide reporting metrics to leadership on product growth to help drive day-to-day decisions.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 2 or more years of relevant Product Management Experience

  • 1 or more years of experience with indirect team leadership to include coaching, mentoring, work direction

  • Proven ability to analyze complex data sets and leverage that analysis to make data driven product decisions


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 4 or more years Product Management experience managing roadmaps, assessing value, developing cases, and prioritizing stories, epics, and themes

  • 1 or more years’ experience managing direct reports

  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional team(s) without formal authority

  • Proven ability to articulate clear and concise requirements for new products and new features

  • Track record of project execution; completing and shipping excellent products on time and on budget

  • Experience and strong understanding of the software development cycle, design research and A/B testing methods, and web analytics

  • Ability to understand basic and complex architectural diagrams and data flows

  • Proven ability to work under rapid development cycles with medium to large teams to achieve a common goal

  • Proven ability to prioritize new feature launches based on competitive analysis, industry trends, emerging technologies, and company vision

  • Experience with varied production methodologies such as forms of Agile development and/or Lean Development

  • Knowledge of user experience trends and digital consumer behaviors
